| November - December, 2009 | ArtsReach: Since 1991, The Kentucky Center's ArtsReach program has collaborated with community centers throughout Metro Louisville to provide quality arts programs and professional development with a strong emphasis on hands-on art experiences. Through an innovative, multi-dimensional and consistent approach of empowerment, education, grassroots networking and connection to the cultural heritage of Louisville's communities, the arts are no longer an afterthought in the development of healthy, self-assured, dynamic youth, families and adults with disabilities. ArtsReach works with community non-profits including libraries, parks, church-based non-profits, boys & girls clubs and neighborhood community centers.
Graciela has been working with more than 12 different community centers in november and december of 2009 and is has been such a wonderful experience. see note from the artist january-february-march: Graciela has been invited to participate once a week in Saint Benedict Community Center for three months. This will allow the kids to get more in touch with her program that includes, spanish, flamenco dance, and singing. | |

Graciela Was invited to Dance her believes. For this project, they have been guided by the original This I Believe series and the producers' invitation to those who wrote essays in the 1950s. Their advice holds up well and we are abiding by it. | |
